What is the difference between Flat & Ribbed PVC?

Flat PVC:

  • Excellent visibility
  • Easy access
  • Cost-effective
  • Improved seal when using overlaps.

Ribbed PVC:

  • Improved durability
  • Better scratch resistance
  • Longer life
  • Strips part and move better than flat.

How to Measure Your Opening:

  • Measure the actual opening width (do not add allowances)
  • Measure the actual opening height (do not add allowances)
  • Fitting Method (face fixed or recess fitted)

We add 100mm to the width to allow for seal at the side of your opening and 50mm to the height.

If you want exact cuts, you must inform us.

This ensures that strips can be trimmed on site to suit uneven floor levels and to allow the rail to be fitted slightly higher than the opening when face fix is being used.
