Sustainability is about taking practical action. Rayflex / Recycle / Reuse initiative helps us, and our customers reduce PVC waste sent to landfill.
Giving PVC a Second Life
PVC strip curtains and other flexible PVC products are designed for durability, but they can dirty and damage and require replacement. Do not dispose them! Rayflex offers customers the opportunity to return used flexible PVC for recycling.
Working with recycling partners, who re-compounded, re-granulated, reused waste product and convert them into:
- Plastic hoses.
- Packaging materials.
- Furniture components.
- Other industrial plastic products.
This helps reduce reliance on virgin PVC materials and supports a more circular economy.
Supporting Carbon Capture Through Replanting
Rayflex donates £100 per tonne of PVC waste returned for recycling to the Woodland Trust. These donations help support the care and management of UK woodlands that capture and store carbon from the atmosphere.
Every £100 donated helps support enough woodland to store approximately four tonnes of carbon, creating an additional environmental benefit beyond waste reduction.
How the Programme Works
It couldn’t be easier:
- Return – Collect and return your waste PVC and return to our warehouse. Please remove any metal fittings.
- Remind – Email Rayflex with the subject line "Recycle My PVC" and provide details of the material being returned.
- Receipt – We confirm receipt of your waste and the total weight that can be recycled. We tell you how much PVC has been diverted from landfill.
- Reward – Receive a carbon reward certificate showing your environmental contribution. See examples of our Carbon Reward and tree replanting certificate here:
