Traditionally impact doors have been used extensively across most industrial applications where there was external heavy duty traffic. However, this trend altered when door systems started to become affordable to the mass market. The move allowed any commercial or industrial application that required heat loss management, contaminant protection and noise reduction, to source hands free passage door systems and to offset the cost against vastly reduced energy bills.
It is extremely simple, please view the How To Measure Your Opening guide and if you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.
Please see the Why use Impact Doors section of the website. There are numerable benefits that are listed in some detail.
Yes, PVC strip curtains are widely sold as an economical alternative to impact doors. View our PVC Strip Curtains product page. They are completely different systems and offer variable benefits, please speak to us if you are unsure on what system you may require.

We have a large range of PVC strip and PVC sheet products in a variety of thicknesses, widths and colours! Our standard grade PVC strip is used in most industry applications; the temperature range is between 50°C to -15°C, the same details apply to our ribbed PVC curtain. The thick ribbed protrusion ensures that the PVC core is protected from constant streams of traffic from both vehicles and pedestrians. Our freezer grade PVC strip works between the temperatures of +30°c to -40°C however, it works best and is designed for use in applications that operate constantly below 0°c. We also provide frosted PVC strip which is perfect for reduced visibility and adding privacy, anti-static PVC strip which is used in applications such as datacentres and perforated PVC strip which is part of our insect barrier range. We also stock coloured PVC strip in both transparent and opaque ranges. If you would like more information on any of these products, our sales team is happy to advise which PVC product is the perfect match based on the application and environment.
ChillFlex PVC strip curtains are ideal for use on open fridges and freezers, the PVC strip curtains keep the cold air in the fridges / freezers so even on the hottest days your customers are not disappointed with warm products from the fridges. As the curtains are crystal clear, visibility is not reduced; however, it does deter thieves as it’s harder to sneak products out. It also expands the life of the refrigerator as it lessens the load on the compressor meaning the fridge has to work less to achieve the perfect temperature. ChillFlex PVC strip curtains are a small investment that offers many benefits. Get in touch with our team if you would like more information.
ScreenFlex curtains are large PVC partitions designed to act as a temporary and movable walls. They are installed to maximise space, control temperature, dust and humidity in a wide range of applications. These products are entirely bespoke and take around 5-10 days to manufacture.
We need the height and width of the opening, please just measure the clear opening space we will automatically add allowances on the width and the height of the doorway to ensure that small adjustments can be made. We also need to know if the opening is completely internal or external facing and the type of traffic (FLTs / pedestrian only / pump trucks etc). Please advise us on how frequently the doorway is used - all this information allows us to recommend which product is perfect for you and to calculate the price. Please always highlight any application specific concerns that you might have before ordering.
No, we are a supply only company but we provide everything you need to do it yourself and we also have handy guides to help you successfully install the PVC strip curtain. You can take a look at our install guides or watch our YouTube videos for a visual guide.
